For every $1 the Hillsborough County coalition has been allocated by the Florida Legislature, we have raised approximately $15 from private and other public sources for additional life-saving services.

The Healthy Start Coalition saves money.
Every $1 allocated to the Hillsborough County Coalition saves $9.50 in costs related to low birth weight babies.

The Healthy Start Coalition helps reduce government.
The Coalition is not part of a government agency. We are local not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation.  We help form partnerships among local organizations and private funders, dramatically relieving taxpayers' burdens.

Healthy Start is right in your neighborhood, with the ability to make local decisions on local issues.  We answer to you. We can make decision rapidly to address new needs and new situations.  If our solutions don't produce results, the community knows - and can do something about it.
